Vintage Newspaper Clipping: "Not A Funny Movie..." Register-Pajaronian Review June 23, 1989

This review printed in the Register-Pajaronian Review perfectly illustrates the uphill climb that faced the producers of Batman '89. The writer makes it pretty clear what he was expecting when he saw the film; Something more akin in tone to the fun of the 60's show than the dark characters explored in comic works like "The Dark Knight Returns" & "The Killing Joke". Oh well... All the important folks "got it" at least. ;)
